A 5-month encounter with God that will transform how you know Him, how you see the world, and how you live the rest of your life.
A personal word from the YWAM Granada team — for the person who feels something stirring right now.
The DTS — Discipleship Training School — is YWAM's flagship program. For over 60 years, it has taken ordinary, hungry believers and brought them into a deep, life-changing encounter with God — and then sent them into the nations to make Him known.
Not more information about God. Not another theology course. A real, personal, transforming encounter with the living God — followed by the privilege of carrying that encounter to people who have never heard His name.
At the end of these five months in Granada, you will not just know more. You will be different. Your faith will be deeper. Your purpose will be clearer. And the world — quite literally — will never look the same to you again.
"A deep, personal knowledge of God — not just knowledge about Him."
"Clarity on your purpose and your next step — no more fog, no more guessing."
"Real tools to share the gospel across cultures, languages, and faiths."
"An international family of believers who will walk with you for the rest of your life."
Not because they do not love God. But because life gets loud — and nobody shows them the door.
Church. Worship. Home. Repeat. Something is not wrong — something is missing. There is a deeper dimension of knowing God that Sunday morning was never designed to give you.
The career is building. The plans are forming. And deep in your chest, a quiet voice keeps whispering that none of this is what you were made for. You have heard it. You have just been too busy to stop and listen.
You genuinely want to know God. You want to serve Him. You want to share your faith. But nobody ever taught you how — and you are not sure where to even begin. The hunger is real. The tools are just missing.
Before every DTS, we hear the same conversations. The same fears. The same honest, searching questions from people who feel exactly where you are right now.
These are not signs that you are not ready. They are signs that God is stirring something in you. And that stirring has a name — it is called a calling.
The DTS was built for exactly this moment in a person's life. You do not arrive equipped. You leave that way.
Close your eyes for a moment. Imagine waking up every morning in a city where the call to prayer echoes from ancient minarets, where the scent of orange blossom drifts through cobblestone streets, where a medieval Moorish palace crowns a hillside against snow-capped mountains — and where the gospel is completely free to be proclaimed.
That city is Granada, Spain. And it is one of the most extraordinary places on earth to spend five months encountering God and learning to make Him known.
Granada was the last stronghold of the Moorish kingdom in Europe. When it fell in 1492, it marked the end of seven centuries of Islamic rule on the continent. Today, the city still breathes that history — in its architecture, in its culture, and in its people. It is a living crossroads of Christian Europe and Islamic North Africa. Nowhere else in the Western world will you find a city where both worlds meet so naturally, so beautifully, and so openly.
For you, this means real, daily, natural access to cross-cultural ministry — not in a classroom, but on the streets, in the markets, on university campuses, and in conversations that can change someone's eternity. You will learn to build bridges with Muslim neighbours, to share Christ across culture, and to love people who have been told all their lives that your faith is their enemy.
And when the day is done? The Sierra Nevada mountains rise just outside the city — Europe's southernmost ski resort, wild and majestic. The Mediterranean coast is one hour away. The Alhambra Palace, one of the most breathtaking architectural wonders on earth, is your neighbour. Granada is a place that does something to your soul — it opens it.
One of Europe's largest Muslim populations — real cross-cultural ministry on your doorstep, with the full freedom of European law.
Tens of thousands of students, a vibrant English-speaking community, and a culture that is open to conversation about meaning and faith.
Sun, sea, and the beauty of Andalusia. You will serve God — and you will also live beautifully.
Europe's southernmost ski resort, wild hiking trails, and landscapes that remind you just how magnificent the Creator is.

Outreach location will be confirmed with enrolled students. Past teams have gone to North Africa, the Middle East, and beyond.
Receive your University of the Nations certificate. Celebrate with your team. Step into the next chapter equipped, sent, and forever changed.
The DTS Granada is not just a program. It is an entire ecosystem designed to bring you into the deepest encounter with God you have ever had — and then equip you to carry that encounter to the world.
Daily devotional time, worship, intercession, and teaching designed to bring you face to face with the living God — not just knowledge about Him.
International speakers who have lived what they teach. Bilingual teaching in English and Spanish. 12 weeks of life-transforming content.
One-on-one follow-up and mentorship throughout the lecture phase. You will not just be a student in a classroom — you will be known and walked with.
Not simulated ministry. Real cross-cultural outreach in the nations — sharing the gospel with people who have never heard it in a language their heart understands.
A team from 7 nations, living, worshipping, and doing ministry together. Friendships forged in this season tend to last a lifetime.
Your DTS is fully accredited through the University of the Nations — YWAM's global higher education network in 180 countries.
Most people come to Granada for the holidays. You will come to know God and make Him known — and leave having done both, in one of the most extraordinary cities on earth.
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?
— Romans 10:14–15
